Mô Café

Mô Café arrived in 2018 and won Santa Teresa over. The café feels like a bistro, with a generous menu: a range of coffees and teas, cakes, sandwiches, savoury snacks, croissants, sweets, beers, caipirinhas, wines and cachaças. The decor is lovely: tables made from reclaimed materials, recycled chairs, photographs on the walls and shelves with dozens of decorative objects for sale. Among them, mandalas, coasters, fridge magnets, crafts and even lamps. To top it off, a small tobacconist with Brazilian, Cuban and Honduran cigars, cigarillos, organic tobacco, straw cigarettes, rolling papers and other accessories. Outside Mô Café, a small veranda gives the place a Parisian air. Dividing the room, a metal mezzanine seats up to six people in privacy and comfort. Among the dishes: stroganoff, bolognese lasagne, picadinho carioca and even a mini feijoada. For a lighter bite, baked pastéis, empadas, baked hot dogs, vegan coxinhas, pancakes, four kinds of ciabatta sandwiches, croissant with cheese and ham-and-cheese croissant. You can also find juçaí juices, made from juçara and 20% more antioxidant than traditional açaí. The shop also stocks Good Karma sweet and savoury granolas, and you cannot leave without trying the oat and honey crisp biscuit.
